Viva Glam Nicki Minaj Lipstick Swatches!

Goodness, I've been gone a while. It's only been a couple of months, but in the makeup/blogger world, it may as well have been a decade! Good news is I'm back, and with plenty of new products to swatch and review for you all!

First up is the newest addition to MAC's Viva Glam collection, which funds AIDS awareness and research programs. This year's campaign was sponsored by Nicki Minaj and Ricky Martin, and consists of one lipstick and one lip conditioner (which I did not purchase).

Viva Glam Nicki is described as a bright yellow pink and is a Satin finish. I have been looking for a neon-ish pink lipstick for a while now, and it really helps that Viva Glam Nicki is a yellow based pink. This will work better on people with warm undertones (yellow undertones, green veins).

This is a swatch of the lipstick, which frankly looks more like a semi-matte finish than a satin finish. This makes it easier to wear such a bright color. If it were a more dewy finish, the color would amplify lips and make them more intimidating. 

With the neons and nudes trend sweeping every runway known to man, I think this will be the perfect addition to my makeup bag for spring! For those of you scared to wear bright colors, this is your chance to jump in! Aside from being a particularly unique shade of pink, The Viva Glam line of lipsticks provide funds for a great cause.
