NYX Lipsticks Swatches!

It seems I've been in a pink lipstick mood, because I also picked up two NYX lipsticks around the same time I bought Viva Glam Nicki. I've always heard good things about NYX as a whole, and honestly, I've never actually believed any of it. Despite the fact that I've never purchased a disappointing product from them, I keep having doubts about the brand...

ANYWAY...

The two colors I purchased were Gardenia and Gem, two very different shades of pink. As a whole, the lipsticks are fantastic. I got these on sale for around a dollar each, and they rarely go for over $5. The pigmentation on the lipsticks is great; they do stain a little, which makes the lasting power of these lipsticks amazing.

Gardenia is a medium bright pink and has, like Gem, a pearlescent sheen to it. Normally I gravitate towards cream or matte finishes, but the shine on these two shades is really pretty!
Gardenia has neutral undertones, but it tends to lean on the warm side when I put it on (which makes sense, seeing as I have yellow undertones).

Next is NYX's Gem, which is a much more wearable pink than Gardenia. Gem is a light to medium warm pink, but is more of an everyday pink than something like Gardenia is. Gem has the same slightly pearlescent finish that Gardenia has, which makes it a pleasant change from everyday cream finish lipsticks.

Have you tried any of NYX's lip products? I've heard the matte creams are to die for!
