Cheek Chic: Bare Minerals blush in "Hint"

Hi, everyone!

Today I have a blush to show you, and I'm quite excited about it! The bare Minerals blush in "Hint" is one of my favorites. It's the kind of shade that goes with nearly everything, which makes it a staple in any makeup lover's collection.

This is  a loose-powder blush, which is both great and terrible. It's great because the loose pigments make it really easy to get either a sheer wash of color or an intense cheek contour with the same product, but it is terrible because loose pigments are pretty much the bane of my existence. They're messy and harder to take care of, because if you drop the pot, you'll loose a lot more product than you would if you dropped a pressed or cream blush.

Hint is a very warm red-pink with a bit of plum in it. It makes for a great transition shade, meaning that it is the perfect color to wear when the weather is too warm for fall colors or too cool for spring colors. The tiny bit of plum in this makes it a great pre/post fall color!

Hint does have silver shimmer in it that is very noticeable on the swatch, but translates as a very fine sheen on the skin. I'm always scared every time I swatch this, but when applied with a deft hand, it comes off as a beautiful pink flush.

Do you like loose powder blushes?
xoxo Fanii
