Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow in Blue Moon: Swatch and Review

Hi, everyone!

Today's product is a limited-edition product from Bobbi Brown's Desert Twilight collection: Long-Wear Cream Shadow in Blue Moon! I had first decided to check out the collection because of the new gel eyeliner, but the cream eyeshadow was a whole lot better at grabbing my attention!

Blue Moon is a very vibrant electric blue, with a shimmer that is so fine, it shows up as more of a sheen than glitter. What I thought was really unique about this color is that the shimmer in it is not gold or silver, but the same shade of blue as the cream itself. This gives the eyeshadow a more true-to-pan color, whereas gold or silver shimmer would really make it either warm or cool in undertones.

At first glance, I thought this shadow might be similar to Maybelline's Color Tattoo in Tenacious Teal, but Tenacious Teal has very pronounced silver glitter in it, which sheers it out in color. Blue Moon is more likely to give an opaque color when applied because the cream IS blue, not just a blue with glitter on top.

Time is of the essence with these eyeshadows, because they do set extremely quickly. As in work-one-eye-at-a-time- quickly. I also found they are better used alone, seeing as they do not provide a sticky base for other eyeshadows. They really are long-wearing, but I had no problem getting it off with MAC Cleanse Off Oil.

Are you a fan of Bobbi Brown?
xoxo Fanii
