Tarina Tarantino Dollskin Cheek Palette: Review and Swatches!

Hi, everyone!

So.... Finals are done with, which means I have my freedom back! :) On my first day back home I stopped by Sephora to check out Urban Decay's new palettes, and ended up buying something completely different. As you may already know, Tarina Tarantino will no longer be sold at Sephora; I do think they are planning to open free-standing stores sometime in the near future, but for now all of their stuff is on sale at Sephora!
This palette normally retails for around $45 and I snagged it up for $27. This takes each of the blushes down to around $7 each, which was irresistible!

This is the outer sleeve/box the palette came in :)

One thing that really kills me about Tarina Tarantino is the packaging. Everything in this brand's range is beautifully packaged without being overpriced, which is really, really nice :) Who doesn't like to pull out a pretty compact out of their bag?

This is the inner box, which is a little more secure :)
The Dollskin Cheek Palette comes with four blushes: Feather, Parasol, Carved Rose, and Candy Cameo
The palette comes with one matte blush (Carved Rose), one shimmer blush (Feather), and two glitter blushes (Parasol and Candy Cameo).

Clockwise: Feather, Parasol, Carved Rose, and Candy Cameo
Feather is a light brownish peach with subtle gold shimmer in it. Out of the four blushes, this is probably the most subtle. Even though it is a shimmery blush, it goes on as a very natural-looking, neutral everyday color.

Feather
Parasol is a BRIGHT coral with strong orange tones in it and gold sparkle in it. It's definitely out-there in terms of pigmentation (it is the most pigmented of the four) and color, so if you have a light skin color I would definitely recommend using a very light hand with it! Parasol even has a slightly metallic look to it when you swatch it, but it's not very apparent when you actually wear the blush.

Parasol
Carved Rose is a matte blue-pink that looks neutral enough so that if you have yellow undertones, it will look a little warmer on your skin. It's very smooth for a matte blush, but it can be just a tad bit powdery.

Carved Rose
Candy Cameo is the most sparkle-packed of the bunch, and is a blue pink with soft silver sparkle. It was the sheerest out of all the blushes, which made it look almost like a wash of pink sparkle on the cheeks. This is a very festive blush, and was the most out of my comfort zone compared to the rest of them.

Overall, I'm very pleased with this palette. All four shades had excellent pigmentation; they were smooth and easy to blend, which makes them total winners in my book!

Have you tried any of Tarina Tarantino's blushes?
